Erin Houchin is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 9th congressional district since 2023. Prior to her election to Congress, she served in the Indiana Senate from 2014 to 2022 and worked as a field manager for U.S. Senator Dan Coats. Houchin holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Arts in political management from George Washington University. In the House, she serves on the Committees on Education and the Workforce, Financial Services, and Rules, and was elected secretary of the House Republican Conference in 2024.
