Estelle Morris

Estelle Morris, Baroness Morris of Yardley, is a British politician and life peer who currently serves as a member of the House of Lords. A member of the Labour Party, she previously served as the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Yardley from 1992 to 2005. During her time in the House of Commons, she held several government positions, most notably as the Secretary of State for Education and Skills from 2001 to 2002. Before entering national politics, she worked as a teacher and served on the Warwick District Council. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply involved in education policy, serving in various leadership roles within academic and charitable organizations.
