Evandro Leitão is a Brazilian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Fortaleza, having assumed office on January 1, 2025. An economist by training, he previously served as a state deputy in the Legislative Assembly of Ceará, where he held the position of president from 2021 to 2024. Before entering politics, he was a public servant and served as the president of the Ceará Sporting Club. Leitão began his political career with the Democratic Labour Party before joining the Workers' Party in 2023 to pursue his mayoral bid.
