Evis Sala is an Albanian politician, radiologist, and academic serving as the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Albania since September 2025. Before entering government, she held prominent academic and medical positions, including Professor of Oncological Imaging at the University of Cambridge and Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli in Rome. A recognized expert in radiogenomics and AI-assisted medical imaging, she has authored over 340 scientific publications and co-founded the medical technology company Lucida Medical. Her political agenda focuses on health system reform and addressing the migration of medical professionals.
