Fabian Manning

Fabian Manning is a Canadian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of Canada, representing Newfoundland and Labrador. Born in St. Bride's, he began his political career on the local town council before serving in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly from 1999 to 2005. He later served as the Member of Parliament for the federal riding of Avalon from 2006 to 2008. Appointed to the Senate in 2009, he briefly resigned in 2011 to run for his former House of Commons seat before being re-appointed to the Senate later that year. Throughout his career, Manning has been a member of various parliamentary committees, including those focused on fisheries, oceans, and national security.
