Obby Khan is a Canadian politician and former professional football player who currently serves as the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba. Born in Ottawa to a Muslim-Canadian family of Pakistani heritage, he played nine seasons in the Canadian Football League before transitioning into entrepreneurship as a restaurant owner in Winnipeg. Elected to the Manitoba legislature in 2022, he became the first Muslim and the first person of color to lead the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba. His political career has been marked by his focus on local economic development and his role as a prominent voice for the provincial opposition.
