Wayne Balcaen is a Canadian politician who has served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba for the district of Brandon West since his election in 2023. Prior to his entry into provincial politics, he had a distinguished career in law enforcement, serving in the Brandon Police Service and eventually becoming the chief of police in 2017. He holds a diploma in Law Enforcement from Lethbridge Community College. In October 2023, he was appointed as the Shadow Minister for Justice, where he focuses on legal and public safety policy within the Manitoba legislature.
