A member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) since 2004, he previously worked as a press officer for the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry and held a position in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. He currently serves as the chairman of the FDP local association in Prenzlauer Berg.
