Fernando Castro Trenti

Fernando Castro Trenti is a Mexican politician and diplomat currently serving as a federal deputy in the LXVI Legislature (2024–2027). With a career spanning over four decades, he previously served as a senator for Baja California, a local deputy in the Baja California Congress, and as Mexico's ambassador to Argentina from 2014 to 2017. Originally a long-time member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), he joined the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) in 2019. Throughout his career, he has held various public administration roles, including secretary of government for the Municipality of Tijuana, and has been a prominent figure in regional infrastructure and environmental policy development.
