Fernando Ugarte Tejeda is a Chilean politician, lawyer, journalist, and volunteer firefighter. Born in Paine, he later moved to the O'Higgins Region, where he worked on municipal security projects and held roles within the Gendarmería de Chile and the Undersecretariat for Crime Prevention. After an unsuccessful run for regional governor in 2024, he joined the security team for presidential candidate José Antonio Kast. In 2025, he was elected as a deputy for the 15th District, becoming the first member of the Republican Party to win a seat in that constituency.
