François Durovray

François Durovray is a French politician who has served as the President of the Departmental Council of Essonne since 2015. A member of The Republicans, he previously held the office of mayor of Montgeron from 2014 to 2015 and served as a regional councilor for Île-de-France. In 2024, he briefly served as the Minister Delegate for Transport within the government of Michel Barnier. Throughout his career, Durovray has been a prominent figure in Essonne politics, known for his commitment to local governance and his opposition to political alliances with the far-right. He holds a degree in public law and management of local authorities from Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
