François Sauvadet

François Sauvadet is a French politician and journalist who has served as the President of the Departmental Council of Côte-d'Or since 2008. A prominent centrist figure, he was a member of the French National Assembly for the 4th constituency of Côte-d'Or from 1993 to 2016 and served as Minister for the Civil Service under Prime Minister François Fillon from 2011 to 2012. He is known for the 'Sauvadet Law' of 2012, which aimed to reduce precarious employment in the public sector and promote gender equality in leadership positions. In 2021, he was elected president of the Assembly of Departments of France.
