Francine Closener is a Luxembourgish politician and journalist currently serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg. Born in Steinfort, she began her career in media, eventually becoming the Chief Editor at RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg and later working for RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg. She entered politics in 2013, serving as State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy until 2018. In 2022, she became co-president of the Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party. Closener has advocated for a stronger European common defense policy, emphasizing the need for European autonomy in response to shifting global foreign policies.
