Frank Frühauf

Frank Frühauf is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Idar-Oberstein. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he previously served as the city's mayor from 2008 to 2015 before assuming his current office in 2015. Beyond his municipal duties, he is an active member of the Birkenfeld district council and serves as the president of the municipal employers' association in Rhineland-Palatinate. Before entering full-time politics, Frühauf worked as a master automotive mechanic and as a managing partner in his family's business.
