Frank-Tilo Becher is a German politician and former Protestant pastor who has served as the Mayor of Giessen since December 2021. Born in Frankfurt am Main, he studied theology and served as a pastor and dean in Giessen for many years before entering formal politics. He was a member of the Hessian State Parliament from 2018 until his election as mayor in 2021. Becher is a member of the Social Democratic Party and has been active in local social and youth initiatives throughout his career.
