Franz Pumaren

Franz Pumaren is a Filipino politician and former professional basketball player and coach currently serving as the representative for Quezon City's 3rd district in the House of Representatives of the Philippines. Before his legislative career, he was a prominent figure in Philippine basketball, winning nine championships as a player for the San Miguel Beermen and later achieving significant success as a collegiate coach for the De La Salle Green Archers. Pumaren entered politics as a Quezon City councilor, serving multiple terms between 2001 and 2022 before his election to Congress. In the 19th Congress, he was appointed as a Deputy Majority Leader.
