Brychcy has served as a member of the Berlin state parliament since 2016, where she focuses on education, vocational training, and European affairs. From 2023 to 2025, she served as the state chair of the Berlin branch of The Left. She is actively involved in numerous social and educational organizations, including the Education and Science Workers' Union.
