Matthias Berger is a German politician currently serving as a Member of the Landtag of Saxony. Prior to his election to the state parliament in 2024, he served as the Lord Mayor of Grimma. As the lead candidate for the Free Voters in the 2024 state election, he secured a direct mandate in the Leipzig Land 3 constituency. Because his party did not meet the threshold for additional seats, he serves as an independent-aligned member within the 8th Landtag of Saxony.
