Freya Van den Bossche is a Belgian politician and a member of the Flemish Parliament. Born in 1975, she is the daughter of prominent politician Luc Van den Bossche. She rose to national prominence in 2003 when she became the youngest minister in Belgian history, serving in various federal roles including Minister of Environment, Sustainable Development, and Deputy Prime Minister. Throughout her career, she has been a member of the socialist party, formerly known as SP.a and now Vooruit. She holds a master's degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Ghent.
