Masahito Fujikawa is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Aichi Prefecture constituency. A graduate of Nanzan University, he began his career as a local government official in Fuso Town before serving three terms in the Aichi Prefectural Assembly. Since his election to the national Diet in 2010, he has held several key positions, including Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications and Chair of the House of Councillors Budget Committee. Politically, he is a conservative who supports constitutional reform, including the explicit mention of the Self-Defense Forces in Article 9, and advocates for a strong national security policy. He has also served as the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Aichi Prefectural Federation.
