Masumi Fukushi is a Japanese politician and former television announcer currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Aomori Prefecture constituency. Born in Goshogawara, Aomori, she spent over two decades at Aomori Television (ATV), where she worked in various departments and served as the inaugural anchor for the program 'Oshaberi House.' Following her departure from the station in 2020, she founded a business focused on promoting local Aomori indigo products. She entered national politics in 2025, winning her first term in the House of Councillors as a candidate for the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
