
Funda Oru

Funda Oru is a Belgian politician who has served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives for the Limburg constituency since June 2024. Born in Heusden-Zolder in 1985, she is of Turkish origin and holds a degree in political science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Before her election to the federal parliament, she held various roles in local government, including serving as an alderman in Heusden-Zolder, and worked as an advisor at the federal Ministry of Development Cooperation and Urban Policy. Oru also served as the vice-chair of the Vooruit party starting in 2019.
