G. T. Devegowda

G. T. Devegowda is an Indian politician from Karnataka who currently serves as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He began his political career with the Indian National Congress in the 1970s before transitioning to the Janata Dal (Secular). Throughout his tenure, he has held significant positions, including serving as the Minister of Higher Education for Karnataka from 2018 to 2019 during the coalition government led by H. D. Kumaraswamy. He gained national attention in 2018 for his electoral victory in the Chamundeshwari constituency against the incumbent Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
