Gabriel Serville is a French-Guianese politician who has served as the President of the Assembly of French Guiana since 2021. A former mathematics teacher and vocational high school principal, he previously represented French Guiana's 1st constituency in the French National Assembly from 2012 to 2021 and served as the mayor of Matoury from 2014 to 2017. As a founding member of the regionalist party Péyi Guyane, he advocates for greater autonomy and has supported French Guiana's potential membership in the Caribbean Community. After a medical absence in 2024 and 2025, he returned to his duties in June 2025.
