Gail Pellerin

Gail Pellerin is an American politician and election administrator currently serving as a member of the California State Assembly for the 28th district, a position she has held since 2022. Before her election to the state legislature, she spent over 27 years working for the Santa Cruz County elections department, serving as the County Clerk from 2004 until her retirement in 2020. Throughout her career, she has been a prominent advocate for voting accessibility and election integrity, having served as president of the California Association of Clerks and Election Officials and as an international election monitor. Pellerin is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University and resides in Santa Cruz County.
