Gareth Wilson

Gareth Wilson is a British politician serving as a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Newry and Armagh since January 2026. Before his appointment to the Assembly, he had a long career in local government, having been first elected to the Armagh District Council in 2005. He subsequently represented the Cusher area on the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council following local government reorganization. In 2024, he contested the Newry and Armagh constituency in the UK general election before his co-option to the Northern Ireland Assembly.
