Garlan Gudger Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 4th district since 2018. A member of the Republican Party, he has been a prominent advocate for conservative policies, including his support for the Alabama abortion ban. In December 2024, he was selected by the Alabama Republican Senate Caucus as their nominee for Senate President Pro Tempore. Outside of his legislative career, Gudger is the second-generation owner of Southern Accents Architectural Antiques and serves on the Alabama Small Business Commission.
