George Hsieh

George Hsieh is a Taiwanese politician and media proprietor who has served as the 11th mayor of Keelung since 2022. Born in Keelung in 1975, he previously represented the city in the Legislative Yuan from 2005 to 2016. Hsieh holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Southern California, a Master of Science from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a Master of Laws from National Chengchi University. Throughout his career, he has balanced roles in media management and public service, notably surviving a recall election in October 2024.
