Chung Tung-chin is a Taiwanese politician currently serving as the Magistrate of Miaoli County. He began his political career as a Miaoli County Councilor in 2014 and served as the council speaker from 2018 to 2022. During his speakership, he oversaw the implementation of Hakka-language sessions in the county council. In 2022, Chung ran for magistrate as an independent candidate after being expelled from the Kuomintang. Despite facing controversies regarding his past and allegations of campaign irregularities, he was elected to his current position and has since focused on social welfare programs, including social housing and student meal initiatives.
