George Sykes

George E. Sykes is an American politician serving as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives for the Grafton-13 district since 2012. He also serves as a member of the Lebanon City Council, a position he has held since 2019, having previously served on the council from 2008 to 2010. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Sykes formerly worked as the Deputy Fire Chief in Lebanon and provided relief work for the American Red Cross in Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. His political priorities have included advocating for environmental legislation, such as banning single-use plastic bags, and addressing the challenges faced by refugees regarding driver's licenses.
