Georges Patient is a French politician serving as a Senator for French Guiana since 2008. Born in Cayenne, he previously served as the Mayor of Mana for nearly three decades, from 1989 to 2017. Throughout his career, he has held various local government roles, including Vice-President of the General Council of French Guiana and President of the Community of Communes of Western Guiana. He also served as a Vice-President of the French Senate between 2020 and 2022. A former financial consultant, he is affiliated with the Renaissance party.
