Gerald Jones

Gerald Jones is a Welsh Labour Party politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Merthyr Tydfil and Aberdare. First elected to the House of Commons in 2015 for the former constituency of Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney, he has held various parliamentary roles, including serving as an Assistant Government Whip and shadow ministerial posts for Wales and Scotland. Before entering national politics, he was a long-serving local councillor and deputy leader of Caerphilly County Borough Council.
