Gerard Lemos, Baron Lemos, is an Indian-British social policy researcher, author, and life peer. Born in India in 1958, he was educated at Dulwich College and the University of York. Throughout his career, Lemos has held numerous high-profile public roles, including serving as the lead non-executive director of HM Prison and Probation Service and chairing English Heritage. He was nominated for a life peerage by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and introduced to the House of Lords in February 2025, later being appointed a Lord-in-Waiting.
