Gerardo Pisarello is a Spanish-Argentine politician and jurist currently serving as a member of the Congress of Deputies. A former professor of constitutional law at the University of Barcelona, he previously served as the First Deputy Mayor of Barcelona from 2015 to 2019, where he oversaw work, economy, and strategic planning. Pisarello is a prominent figure in the Barcelona en Comú municipal platform and has authored numerous works on constitutionalism, human rights, and the right to the city. He is also a member of the advisory panel for DiEM25 and was a founding member of the Procés Constituent movement.
