Gevorg Papoyan is an Armenian economist and politician currently serving as the Minister of Economy of Armenia. Born in 1987 in Ujan, he holds a degree in economics and has previously worked in marketing and research roles. Before his appointment as minister in March 2024, he served as a member of the National Assembly of Armenia for the 7th and 8th convocations, where he chaired the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs. He is a prominent member of the Civil Contract party, serving as the deputy chairman of its board since 2022.
