Gisèle Jourda

Gisèle Jourda is a French politician who has served as a Senator for the Aude department since 2014. A long-time member of the Socialist Party, she has been deeply involved in community and popular education movements, notably as a founding president of the local branch of the Movement Against Racism and for Friendship between Peoples (MRAP). Before her election to the Senate, she served as the first deputy mayor of Trèbes. She was appointed a Knight of the Legion of Honour in 2010 for her public service.
