Gloria Flórez Schneider is a Colombian politician and human rights activist currently serving as a Senator of Colombia. She is widely recognized for her long-standing advocacy on behalf of internally displaced persons and victims of conflict. As the head of MINGA, an Association for Alternative Social Policy, she has been a prominent voice in investigating political corruption and paramilitary influence in Colombia. In 1998, she was honored with the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award for her dedicated work in defending human rights and social justice within the country.
