Graham Stringer

Graham Stringer is a British Labour politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Blackley and Middleton South since 2024, having represented predecessor constituencies in the Manchester area continuously since 1997. Before his parliamentary career, he was a prominent figure in local government, serving as the leader of Manchester City Council from 1984 to 1996. A former analytical chemist, Stringer is known for his Eurosceptic views and his skepticism regarding mainstream climate change science, having served as a trustee for The Global Warming Policy Foundation. Throughout his tenure, he has held various roles, including positions on the Transport and Science and Technology select committees.
