Greg Abbott

Greg Abbott is an American politician, attorney, and jurist currently serving as the 48th Governor of Texas, a position he has held since 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the Attorney General of Texas from 2002 to 2015 and as a justice on the Texas Supreme Court from 1996 to 2001. Known for his conservative policy agenda, Abbott has focused on issues including border security, tort reform, and opposition to federal mandates. As the first Texas governor to use a wheelchair, he has maintained a prominent role in state and national politics, consistently advocating for limited government and state-level autonomy.
