Greg Casar

Greg Casar is an American politician serving as a U.S. Representative for Texas's 35th congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party and the Congressional Progressive Caucus, he is known for his advocacy on labor rights, criminal justice reform, and affordable housing. Before his election to Congress, he served on the Austin City Council from 2015 to 2022, where he championed policies such as 'ban the box' hiring ordinances and police oversight. Casar previously worked as a policy director for the Workers Defense Project, focusing on labor protections for construction workers.
