Grzegorz Watycha

Grzegorz Watycha is a Polish economist and local government official who has served as the Mayor of Nowy Targ since 2014. A graduate of the Krakow University of Economics, he previously worked as the head of the Housing Management Department in Zakopane and as the deputy head of the Czorsztyn municipality. After serving as a city councilor in Nowy Targ starting in 2010, he was elected mayor in 2014 and has since secured re-election in 2018 and 2024. He was awarded the Bronze Medal for Merit to Firefighting in 2016.
