Hajnalka Burány

Hajnalka Burány is a Serbian politician from the country's Hungarian community who has served as the Mayor of Senta since July 2024. Born in Senta, she graduated from the University of Novi Sad with a degree in Hungarian language and literature and previously worked as a language teacher and a civil servant. Before becoming mayor, she was an active member of the Vojvodina provincial assembly from 2020 to 2024, where she served on committees for culture, public information, gender equality, and science and education. A member of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ), she has been involved in local politics since 2012, including serving as the president of the party's women's forum.
