Hans van der Pas

Hans van der Pas is a Dutch politician currently serving as the Mayor of Maashorst, a position he assumed on March 12, 2024. Previously, he served as the Mayor of Rhenen from 2015 to 2024 and was a municipal councilor and alderman in Bernheze. A member of the Labour Party (PvdA), Van der Pas has a background in social management and organizational sciences. In his current role, he has taken a firm stance on maintaining democratic processes and public safety amidst local tensions regarding asylum seeker reception centers.
