原田秀一

Hidekazu Harada is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Kagawa Prefecture constituency. Born in Osaka and raised in Kagawa, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Okayama University. Before entering politics, he had an extensive career in finance and accounting, working as a certified public accountant and holding senior positions at firms including ChuoAoyama Audit Corporation, Daiwa Securities, Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, and KKR Japan. In 2025, he was elected to the House of Councillors as a candidate for the Democratic Party for the People, defeating the incumbent Liberal Democratic Party candidate.
