Hardik Patel

Hardik Patel is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly for the Viramgam constituency. He rose to national prominence in 2015 as the leader of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti, an organization that campaigned for Other Backward Class status for the Patidar community. After a period of activism and involvement with the Indian National Congress, where he served as the Working President of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2022. He was subsequently elected to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly in the 2022 state elections.
