Hari Prasad Upreti

Hari Prasad Upreti is a Nepalese politician currently serving as a member of the 2nd Federal Parliament of Nepal. Representing the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), he was elected to the House of Representatives from the Sarlahi 3 constituency during the 2022 Nepalese general election. In January 2023, he was appointed as the Minister of Defence in the coalition government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda. He remains an active figure in national politics, contributing to the legislative and executive functions of the Nepalese government.
