Hartmut Moorkamp

Hartmut Moorkamp is a German politician and member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Since 2022, he has served as a member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony, representing the Papenburg constituency, where he secured his seat with the highest percentage of first-preference votes in the state. Before entering state-level politics, Moorkamp built a career in local government, serving as the mayor of Rastdorf since 2016 and holding various roles in the municipal councils of Rastdorf and the Samtgemeinde Werlte. Professionally, he is a trained wholesale and foreign trade merchant who has managed his family's agricultural business in Rastdorf since 1997.
