Harvey S. Peeler Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina Senate, representing the 14th District since 1981. A member of the Republican Party since 1989, he has held significant leadership roles, including Senate Majority Leader from 2005 to 2016 and President of the Senate from 2019 to 2021. Currently, he chairs the Senate Finance Committee and serves on several other committees, including Ethics and Medical Affairs. Outside of his legislative career, Peeler is a dairyman and a veteran of the United States Army.
