Junji Hasegawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. A former bureaucrat in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, he previously served as the Vice Governor of Ehime Prefecture. Hasegawa was first elected to the Diet in 2021 and has since held positions including Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications and Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Cabinet Division. He is known for his administrative background and his active involvement in regional development and disaster management, particularly following his leadership during the 2018 West Japan heavy rain disaster.
