Before entering politics, she had a distinguished 15-year career in media, working as a news presenter and editor for Mediacorp and Channel NewsAsia. She also held leadership roles in the social impact sector, including as President of the Singapore Muslim Women's Association (PPIS) and CEO of Make-A-Wish Singapore. Currently, she serves as the CEO of the EtonHouse Community Fund.
